HI, I’M SALLY – THE FOUNDER OF HOUSE OF HERBS
House of Herbs began as a herbal dispensary in Byron Bay in 2016. As a qualified Naturopath & herbalist, I decided to set up my own small business after working in a busy clinic for many years. Although the original House of Herbs shop no longer exists, the manufacture of herbal healing balms & natural skin care continues.
I first developed an interest in herbs & natural healing as a child, having grown up on an outback property where plants, animals and nature were an integral part of life. On the farm, things were often made from scratch and we mostly ate simple, wholesome ingredients that grew in the paddock.
Studying naturopathy and having children to raise made me begin to question the ingredients in many processed foods and personal skin care products. A desire to provide clean skin care for my family and clients inspired me to create my own natural treatments based on my herbal knowledge.
CLEAN ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
The skin is our largest organ and an understanding of the potential impact of the skin products we use has driven me to pursue a therapeutically effective, yet simple and non toxic alternative.
The ingredients I use in the House of Herbs products are carefully sourced and mostly organic.
I also now organically grow some of the herbs since moving to a small scale regenerative cattle farm in Woodlawn.
